As i am new in creating html, it is a challenge for me. I have to refer to notes and tutorials to accomplish the assignments, besides with the help of my group mate, Corine Koh. Firstly, Corine and I did a layout plan on what to be inserted in our web page. Since this was our first time creating our own website, we decided to have fun creating it and make our webpage outstanding and interesting. We inserted some fun stuff in the webpage and some information about ourselves. He have some difficulties in creating and arranging the html though. We have to refer everytime to the notes and tutorials when creating the html, until the extend we could memorize them. After creating the html on notepad, with the help of Ms. Sha and classmates, we manage to get our webpage publishes. The process was fun.
2. The technologies/tools you learn and use during this assignment, and their advantages/disadvantages.
I have learn to create html to design webpage. In term of tools, this was the first time i manage to create html using notepad and learn to publish a webpage. While for internet technologies wise, such as creating blogs or uploading stuff, I am quite familiar with all this already. However, in my point of view, it is a cool idea by passing up our reports using blogs. Advantage wise, it is easily access and go green ( no papers have been wasted and save cost and energy to print the report).
3.The experience/difficulty in debugging the HTML codes in getting the output you want.
In term of experence, as I have mentioned this was my first time creating html and publishing webpage. It was a challenge to me and my groupmate. Although we have the notes and tutorials sample but to put it in action it was cahllenging. Any mistakes in symbols or typo errors are not allowed or else the output will be different. So, everytime after creating one part, we have to make sure the methods and codes are correct. As to trace the mistake after the end of all the coding, it will be a headache because there will be thousands and thousands of codes and we have to trace the mistake one by one. To create html codes are also time consuming and all coding need to be done carefully.
4. The experience/difficulty in searching/choosing the suitable web hosting server.
As Ms. Sha have already inform us on a few free web server to choose on and one of it is bravehost. So, we decided to just choose bravehost for our web hosting server. With help from our friend, we manage to upload it.
5.The experience/difficulty in uploading the files to the web server.
I did not face any difficulties in uploading the files to web server because the procedures of the method of uploading the files are provided by the web server homepage which make our life easier.
6.The process and experience/difficulty in creating a blog and learning how to use a blog.
I have been using blogger's blog for some time. I am quite familiar with the functions and all the tools, so i have no difficulties in creating nor using a blog.
7.Conclusion should include lesson learnt, and what would you do differently if you are going to work on this assignment again.
Conclusion,I have practically used the theory that we have learn in class. It is quite challenging but we successfully created it. If i am going to work on this assignment again, we will add in more technic and creativity, hence more research needed to be done.
